Unforgivable sins in cricket

There is simply no excuse for a third umpire, Steve Davis in this case, to make such wrong decisions. Ajmal was given lbw while the ball passed at least 3 inches below his hands, more than obvious to the naked eye. Such an evidence was dismissed as inconclusive. What is conclusive if this is not?
Hafeez was stuck clearly outside the off-stump and still was given out by the umpires.

It is the responsibility of the umpires, especially the third umpire, to use the extra evidence of the DRS system to do away with errors of the umpires on the field, not to solidify the errors by hopeless excuses.

The commentators were bold enough to highlight the Ajmal's case, but they went quiet in case of Hafeez. That silence is unexplainable.

In the case of the English captain given out without a hot-spot evidence (as it was not available both for the bat and the  leg), the sound coming out of the bat was more than conclusive to make the decision, and the right decision was taken.

I hope such sloppy work of third umpire is not repeated for the interest of cricket as a whole, and as a matter of professionalism!!!

  1. This is true. There is no excuse for a third umpire. I hope ICC is noting.
